Test rides · Seven days a week

Ride it before you decide.

Test rides are free. Always have been. No deposit, no credit card, no sales pitch waiting for you when you get back. You cannot tell what an e-bike feels like from a spec sheet, so we would rather you found out on the Greenway than in your driveway three weeks after buying the wrong one.

Free, every day we're openWalk-ins welcomeHelmets providedAbout 15 minutes

You don't strictly need an appointment.

Walk in any day we're open and we will get you on a bike. But booking a slot does two real things: it guarantees the bike you care about is charged rather than sitting on the charger at 20%, and it guarantees your size is on the floor instead of in a box in the back. On a Saturday afternoon in June, that's the difference between riding the Sugar Mill and hearing us say “come back Tuesday.”

The route

A real fifteen-minute loop, not a lap of the parking lot.

We are at 418 Main Street, which is about four blocks from where the St. Vrain Greenway picks up. You leave the shop, drop onto the path along the creek, and ride an actual route — pavement seams, a road crossing, one climb back up to Main. That is the only way to learn whether a Class 3 motor feels like too much or exactly right.

Take longer if you want. Ride to Roosevelt Park and back. Ride it twice. We are not timing you.

What to bring

  • A driver's license or ID — we hold it while you're out, like any rental.
  • Shoes you can pedal in. Sandals are fine, honestly.
  • Your helmet if you like your own. Otherwise we'll lend you one.
  • Anything you'd normally carry — panniers and child seats are the point of some of these bikes.

How it goes

Four steps, none of them a sales meeting.

01

Roll up to the shop

Park out front on Main, or lock your bike to the rack by the door. Tell whoever's at the counter you're here for a test ride — that's the whole check-in.

02

We size you and hand you a helmet

Seat height, bar reach, tire pressure. Two minutes of fit work is the difference between a bike that feels awkward and one that feels like yours. Loaner helmets are on the wall.

03

Ride the Greenway loop

Out the door, down to the St. Vrain Greenway, and back. About fifteen minutes and roughly two miles of real path, real pavement, and one honest little climb.

04

Come back and try another one

Nobody buys the first bike they sit on. Ride two, ride four, ride the same one twice. We have never once rushed someone off a bike.

Book your ride

Takes about a minute. Fields marked with an asterisk are required.

We're open seven days a week.

Times follow that day's shop hours.

Which bikes do you want to ride?

Pick as many as you like — most people ride two or three before deciding.

Free, no obligation, no deposit. Bring a helmet if you have one — we'll lend you one if you don't.
